As a long time resident of New York City, Ross Abelow has seen that winter is an especially dangerous time of year for stray animals. As the temperatures drop, homeless animals are not able to find a shelter and many die. For this reason, Ross Abelow has decided to launch a winter fundraiser that will benefit animal shelters in New York City. His goal is to convince other like-minded individuals that the problem of suffering stray animals is a big one and hopes they will contribute to the Go Fund Me account that he set up. Once the account reaches $5,000, all of the money will be donated to shelters.

There are a couple of main problems that New York City shelters are facing at the moment. One of the biggest problems is having enough space for all of the animals that need help. At times, New York residents bring in vulnerable animals that are sick and need to be taken care of. However, shelters have to turn them away because they do not have space to house them. Second, there is simply not enough money to purchase items like food and medical supplies. Both of these problems will be addressed when money is donated to the winter fundraiser and then is given to the New York animal shelters.

It is important for animal lovers to get on board with raising money and donating money to this cause. These cold winter months are tough for homeless animals. They need to be placed in animal shelters where their needs will be taken care of. When they are placed in shelters, they are in the best position to be adopted and then have their long-term needs cared for as well.

  1. Animals as well as humans who are homeless need to be catered for as we know that the way we live now demands such things. It is not uncommon for to write about pet care and in fact they also protect animals as they would not do anything to harm animals and are against cruelty.
